Start by selecting your hospital. Enter your first name, last name and email or phone to continue. Estimates appear after you finish signup. Surrey Memorial, Langley Memorial and Vancouver General are examples covered by the supplied dataset; their inclusion does not mean NRTH is connected to their systems.
When recent community reports are insufficient, NRTH uses the supplied reference profile for the hospital’s matching Vancouver weekday and hour. Those profiles contain historical posted triage-to-clinician waits or modelled peer values. They are planning references, not observations of the current queue. A missing reference value remains unavailable.
Community estimates use arrival-to-clinician durations from reports with a clinician time in the past six hours. At least three different browser registrations must qualify, with only the latest eligible report per registration contributing. The displayed estimate is their median. These registrations are not verified people. Community and reference figures describe different intervals and may change as reports arrive or expire.
Very short arrival, triage, clinician or departure intervals receive soft timing flags. The tracker keeps those reports, but they do not contribute to community estimates. These rules are data-quality filters, not a clinical assessment or proof that a report is false. Correcting mistaken times can clear the flags.
Press Start visit when you arrive. The triaged, seen by a clinician and left-the-ER buttons record server times when you press them. You can skip an unrecorded step or edit a mistaken time. Estimates refresh about every 30 seconds. Elapsed time updates each second, while expected remaining time is only a rough countdown; it does not promise when care will happen.
Saved progress belongs to this browser session. Entering the same contact on another device does not recover private visits. Signup registers interest in NRTH Health, without automatic email or SMS messages. The public privacy policy explains saved details, journey activity, retention and deletion controls.
NRTH does not check you into a hospital, change your place in a queue or provide an official hospital wait feed. Care timing depends on clinical needs and changing conditions. Follow the hospital team’s instructions; tell staff if your condition worsens.
